Statement

My artistic practice is driven by a sustained interest in observing human behaviour and emotion, and in how these interact with the environment. The recent work focuses on creating hybrid combinations of the human figure and the environment through diverse visual elements, exploring degrees of representativeness in painting and the perceptual shifts that arise. My thematic approach is grounded in the view that human perception, the body, and the environment are dynamic systems in constant interplay. The body experiences, the mind processes, and the environment defines the framework in which meaning is formed.
