Self portrait (2009)

Hara Adamopoulou is a Greek visual artist. She graduated with honors from the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She completed two cycles of postgraduate studies in the program entitled “Drawing, Design and New Technologies” at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Granada in Spain. In the same institution she also defended her doctoral thesis titled “The Teratological Aesthetics of Contemporary Art”, that was unanimously awarded excellent “with honours” and was implemented with a scholarship from the Public Beneficial Foundation Alexandros S. Onassis. 

She has received the first prize at the Biennale of Young Artists of the Schools of Fine Arts (2004), a project distinction in a design competition of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts “Nuestra senora de las Angustias” in Granada ( 2006), second prize in the visual design competition “Trazos 2007” at the School of Fine Arts of Granada (2007), honourable mention in the “XXXIV Premio Bancaja de Pintura, Escultura y Arte Digital” competition in Valencia (2007), honourable mention in the “International competition of painting homage to Rafael Zabaleta” in Jaén (2020) and honorable mention for a work in the “XVI International Prize Milagros Mir De Pintura” competition in Valencia (2021). 

She has presented her work in individual and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
